However, I tried your way with same result

but gkrellm is doing the job; I can see the info in a little window which stays always on top, check it here https://imgur.com/a/meItl
and this is how the xfce4-sensors-plugin looks like https://imgur.com/a/pxawj as you can see is a big window which I have to open every time if checking temps. should I mark this thread as solved? By the way, imgur link works fine.09-21-2017, 09:17 PM
Maybe 1 last attempt... https://help.ubuntu.com/community/SensorInstallHowto
search via Synaptic for sensors-applet
Perhaps this is more to your liking??

You're almost there, click the "Mostrar" checkbox in the xfce-sensor preferences for the wanted sensors. They will show in the taskbar.
BTW, mine show 100c because I'm in a Virtual Machine. :-P
Cheers!

use psensor ...install from synaptic and it sits in the panel. You can set warning levels

To make conky always show so that maximized desktop windows don't cover it up try: own_window_type panel

I've already tried psensor in another distro, however, I'm not sure I tried to make it show the info in the taskbar, I think I do and didn't work, but not entirely sure, so maybe I'll try that. Thanks for taking the time to answer!
