Pepperflash gets its flash from Google Chrome.  As Chrome updates, pepperflash isn't updated automatically.  But if you read the official post by Adobe, Linux is only affected by Flash 11.x.  And Firefox in Linux uses Flash 11.x.

when I went to Firefox  plugins as suggested   I saw two types of Shockwave Flash  One was 11.2  and the other was 19.0..  Both were enabled.  I have disabled both for now -  However is 19.0  safe??
Re Chrome Adobe Flash Player plugin is 19.0 - now disabled - as was with Chromium.
Have removed pepperflashplugin-non free via synaptic for now.
BTW In Midori, Preferences/extension both shockwave flash version were listed but not "ticked" by default.  Interesting.
