user forum - removes newlines on posting

This is a test post.Using return x1 appears like this.

This is a test post.
Using return x2 appears like this.

This is an experimental post.
Using a space at the end of the above line , then pressing return x1, works correctly.

I noticed this worked when editing another post a few minutes ago.
