Multiple install fails. Grub and boot problems on Lenovo 100S-14IBR

Well, I followed that article you linked, and it sure was interesting (and hopeful).  But I seem to have damaged my boot process.

This is the message I received, as I neared finishing a fresh install of Linux Lite using the settings in that article:

"The 'grub-efi-amd64-signed" package failed in install into /target/.  Without the GRUB boot loader, the installed system will not boot.

Any thoughts?
