I honestly don't work for Tiger Direct, but I did happen to see this deal, and there seem to be a lo of folks looking for new systems. It's a AMD quad core for under $300:

I am not that familiar with AMD processors so I really can's advise on that, and it only had 2G memory, but seems like a really good basic computer deal.
