Have gone back to my posting - opened modify and no option box is displayed in the header section.  Also the original  subject  character length is too long to type in solved into the header.   Using Firefox latet update to access forum.

If all else fails you might be able to modify the topic title to something like :
Code:
[SOLVED] Partial black screen after log on and welcome Recently upgraded

Will modifying- shortening the original subject text to get SOLVED in,  interfere with the  form thread i.e open a new thread instead of continuing the original thread?

Renaming should not cause any problems, I have seen many topic titles changed on the forum.

avj   did as you suggested re rewording my "solved" subject line to include solves in the last post I made.   The subject line for that last post was altered but the preceding posts subject lines did not alter  so the original post appears as still not solved???

Usually you edit it on the first post and that should fix it.
