If you have less than 3GB RAM you can install 32 bit and Linux Lite will recognize the whole amount of memory.

As you can see. The stock kernel sees all 5 gig of my ram on this Dell XT2. I have no internal webcam that came with this
tablet/netbook though.

Just want to confirm that you installed all updates after the new 32 bit installation?

Menu > All > Install Updates


And there are no additional drivers to install?

Hello, I tried both, the updates and drivers, but to no avail. I would have believed that it was a hardware problem, but the webcam takes the videos perfectly. It works very well on video chats on Skype and Google hangouts. Can it still be a webcam hardware problem?
