I am building me a new/old media center out of a IBM M41 Tower Server. I have TB of music collected of all types and genres.
On External Drives via usb Hookups.
I use Music on Console to run a Directory or stream like

I make my own .pls files out of a link like that so I do not need nothing heavy to play anything.
